How to install

Requests to Owners and Contractors

Please give due consideration to safety when installing signs, displays, ornaments, building hardware, monuments, and similar (“signs”). Moreover, take measures against disasters such as strong wind due to typhoons, tornadoes, and storms if expected. Performing regular maintenance will help maintain the product’s beauty for a longer amount of time.

General Note

• 1.  When requesting an estimate or placing an order, please fully discuss the installation site information and installation methods with our sales staff and perform the installation work as discussed.
• 2.  The following installation methods are representative methods for each product. During installation, if the mounting brackets, bonds, etc. prepared by Daikan do not fit the installation wall surface as per prior consultations, then please select the appropriate mounting method and materials, and carry out the construction with due care for risks involved.
• 3.  Please ensure that the installation location does not to obstruct pedestrians and vehicles.
• 4.  Design signs that comply with the Road Traffic Act and other laws and regulations.
• 5.  Please note that Daikan is not responsible for any installation work.
• 6.  In accordance with laws and ordinances, perform inspections every two years and perform safe maintenance.

Lumi Letter (Stud Bolt, Stud Bolt with Nut)

• 1.  Lumi Letter is designed, as a standard, to work with 12V designs. It may work with 24V depending on the product specifications.
• 2.  Lumi Letter LED will be instantly damaged and rendered unusable if directly connected to an AC100-240V supply. Be sure to use the DC power supply provided by our company.
• 3.  The voltage of the DC power supply is set properly. Please do not touch the volume as it may damage the LED.
• 4.  Install the AC/DC power supply where maintenance can easily be performed regularly. When installing or performing maintenance on electrical equipment, you must follow all local laws, regulations and safety procedures.

Example of attaching Installation Template

1.  Please check that the "installation template" and "stud bolts" are enclosed with the product.

2.  Apply the enclosed installation template horizontally and drill the holes for the stud bolt and power cable.
*Drill mounting holes perpendicular to the wall surface.
*Please make sure to drill holes in the exact positions.

3.  Attach the stud bolt on the back panel.
*Please note that screw threads and LEDs may be damaged, or the back panel may be distorted, if the stud bolt is tightened excessively or if signs are forcibly pushed in inappropriate hole positions.

4.  Note for Stud Bolt
Remove any dust and grime from the mounting holes and make sure that the stud bolt fits horizontally into the hole. Then inject the glue and install the product.
*Please select the appropriate glue for the installation wall.
Note for Stud Bolt with Nut
Check that the bolt fits horizontally in the hole and insert the washer on the back side of the installation surface. Next, tighten the nut using a wrench or other tool, and install the product.
*Do not tighten the nut excessively, otherwise the product may be damaged.

• Our product is made of plastic and can be easily damaged during installation. Please handle with care.
• Our product is made of plastic. Please do not tighten the stud bolt excessively. The surface of the product may be distorted from being pushed by the stud bolt. If the stud bolt is forcibly tightened at an angle, screw threads may be damaged, causing the product to fall.
• When installing using the stud bolt and nut method, please stop tightening the nut before the spring washer becomes flat. Excessive tightening may cause the surface of the product to collapse.
• Ensure the product is positioned correctly and level to the ground (horizontal) before installation.
